The chip features a Dual 16-core Neural Engine with a total of 32 cores dedicated to AI processing. A new thermal architecture positions the processor closer to a larger vapor chamber. According to Apple, this design provides up to 40% higher sustained performance compared to the previous generation.
Battery capacity has also been increased, especially in models relying solely on eSIM. Apple states the iPhone 18 Pro can support up to 36 hours of video playback, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max can reach 45 hours under the same conditions. The Pro models can attain 50% charge in approximately 15 minutes with compatible wired accessories. eSIM-only variants will be available in markets including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, along with several other countries outside the region.
